Sometimes the female infant was given away, sometimes she was left to die. Despite her daughter’s death sentence, the crown princess secretly smuggles the baby out of the palace and instructs that she be left at a Buddhist temple.That’s where the princess grows up, yet, somehow fate returns her to the palace to work as a maid. While fraternal twins don’t always look alike, the teenage maid, Dam-i, and the prince Lee Hwi are almost identical. The prince notices their resemblance and hatches a plot to have the maid take his place while he goes to visit his teacher. Switching roles will prove fatal to the prince and the young Dam-i, played by Choi Myung-bin, must pretend to be the prince for far longer than intended.While she was a maid, Dam-i met and developed feelings for Jung Ji-woon, a court visitor, played as a child by Ko Woo-rim. He cannot forget her, even when she seems to disappear, or even years later when he returns to the palace.
