StoryLine:

Piyush (Divyendu Sharma) a young social entrepreneur is living-in with his girlfriend Nivedita (Pranati Rai Prakash) in the same building, as a middle-aged divorced woman also named Nivedita (Suchitra Krishnamoorthi). Despite being neighbours they are not acquainted, but when older Nivedita’s former husband returns from Germany and asks her to re-marry her, their destinies collide. It’s a unique plot that is dealt with in a matter-of-fact way by co-writer director Prakash Johari, who gives us everyday characters with relatable life stories of urban India. These characters represent a cross-section of the society – from elite, privileged and independent to the “outsiders” who come to a mega city like Mumbai from smaller towns to earn a livelihood and make a career. But the narrative focuses mainly on the lives of an estranged couple and young and free-spirited live-in partners, who redefine gender stereotypes with ease.Performances range from average to decent. Vijay Raaz is aptly cast as an eccentric painter, who is forever brooding.

We don’t if it’s just his character or a general disinterest in the film altogether. It’s refreshing to watch Suchitra Krishnamoorthi after a long time. She is instantly likeable as a sorted and independent urban woman, who is in touch with her reality. Divyendu Sharma is endearing with his Bihari accent, which goes missing when he speaks in English. Pranati Rai Prakash’s performance pales in comparison to the others and Manoj Pahwa is simply hilarious, as a typical sarkari worker with an inflated ego.
