Along the way, they encounter a mysterious and powerful amnesiac named Bob, who is revealed to be the test subject of one of Val’s dangerous experiments, possessing powers that rival the Avengers. The arrival of Bucky Barnes further complicates matters as he initially intends to use the Thunderbolts as evidence against Val.

As the situation escalates, the emergence of Bob’s destructive alter ego, the Void, throws New York City into chaos, turning people into shadows and engulfing the city in darkness. Yelena takes the lead, venturing into the shadow dimension with her teammates to reach Bob’s consciousness and help him overcome the Void’s influence. In a climactic battle that delves into their past traumas and emphasizes the power of connection, the team manages to restore normalcy. However, their attempt to capture Val is thwarted when she cleverly frames them as the “New Avengers” in a public press conference, leaving their future and reputation uncertain.
