StoryLine:

In 1830, veteran detective Augustus Landor investigates a series of murders at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. He is aided by Edgar Allan Poe, a young cadet at the academy.Augustus was contracted by the military to investigate a gruesome case of murder in which a cadet has his heart ripped out. A small fragment of a note was found in the hands of the murdered cadet. During the investigation he enlisted the help of Edgar, who is a cadet at the academy, to probe for details on the case. They eventually noticed that the murder could be linked to a case of sorcery magic. A second case of murder was then detected in which a cadet was left in the wilderness and has his heart ripped out crudely. Following the clues, Augustus and Edgar were led to the family of Dr. Daniel Marquis, who was first brought into the investigation by helping out with the autopsy. Particular suspicion were placed on his son (Artemus Marquis) who is also a cadet at the academy, and his daughter (Lea Marquis) who suffers random episodes of seizures. It was then found out that she had been involved in sorcery magic. An old uniform of an officer that was used for impersonation earlier was also found in their house. Seduced by Lea, Edgar volunteered to do whatever she wants.

Upon waking up, Edgar found that he was left to bleed with Lea and Artemus trying to cut his heart out as part of a ritual to cure Lea of her seizures. Augustus managed to arrive in time to rescue Edgar, while Lea and Artemus were crushed by the falling beams in the house that caught fire.
