Helmed by Avinash Das, the film is set in Rajasthan and the story revolves around a night when a successful writer, Kartik Sharma (Annup Soni), gets engaged with famous Bollywood actress Vani Chopra (Dipannita Sharma Atwal). On that very night Vaani is found dead under mysterious circumstances and her murder sets off a series of misadventures. Kartik goes on a run and lands up at a King’s palace where he coincidentally meets his former lover Vasuki (Paoli Dam). On the other hand, a sharp-witted cop, Rajesh Ahlawat (Rahul Dev) is roped in to investigate the murder. While interrogating all the members present at the party, he finds out that Kartik is missing which makes him the prime suspect of his fiancé’s murder. Can Ahlawat solve this mystery and bring the criminal to justice?Raat Baaki Hai 2021 Movie Download.
The screenplay by Siddharth Mishra looks promising at the beginning, but the narrative gets shaky gradually, especially when Kartik and Vasuki meet each other and they take a trip down memory lane to relive their dark past. Initially, this suspense drama focuses only on the murder investigation but soon the story gets muddled up in the past and existing lives of Kartik, Vasuki and Vani. However, the climax has some unpredictable bends in the road which are interesting to watch.
Rahul Dev is impressive as the no-nonsense cop Ahlawat whose character has shades of grey from the beginning, and yet, he leaves no stone upturned to find the truth. Annup Soni convincingly depicted the anxiousness his character goes through. Paoli Dam is looking elegant and she makes her presence felt as Vasuki.
‘Raat Baaki Hai’ circles around a murder investigation and the existing lives of the lead characters which could have been an interesting watch but it lacks the right elements to entertain. Despite some known faces and convincing acts, it comes across as a not-so-thrilling suspense drama.
