StoryLine:

Maya is a little bee with a big heart! Even though she is told that bees shouldn’t associate with other bugs, especially the feared hornets, Maya can’t help but make friends with the other bugs of the meadow, including Flip, the violin-playing grasshopper; Willy, a fellow bee; Kurt the dung beetle; and even Sting, a young hornet. Though the other bees don’t think Maya fits in as a proper bee with all her diverse friends, when the Queen’s royal jelly is stolen, it will take Maya and all her friends to figure out who did it and how to save the day! Maya is a sweet new bee to the hive and very inquisitive about the outside world. She is not sure what her role in the hive will be, but her curiosity leads her on an adventure of discoveries about herself and others in the meadow.When Maya is kicked out of the hive after the Queen’s jelly is stolen, her friend Willy tags along to help her.

They find that the big world outside the hive has many other bugs and insects that are not as bad as they were led to believe. The two wee bees, along with their new friends, stand with each other to help the Queen and stop the unnecessary fighting that may destroy the hive and the hornets’ nest.This is an enjoyable and entertaining movie that shares important values about friendship, especially with those who may be different than yourself, not judging others, and helping one another in difficult situations.
