Máximo Gallardo (Eugenio Derbez) is a self-made mogul, but he’s never forgotten his humble beginnings, growing up in Acapulco, Mexico. When his nephew Hugo (Raphael Alejandro) arrives to get a “big surprise” for his birthday, Máximo decides to tell him the story of how he got to where he is. Hugo is a bit disappointed, but he’s listening; Máximo insists the story is “more valuable than money.”As a little kid in Acapulco, where Máximo hustled to help his widowed mother and sister, he’d see Don Pablo Bonilla (Damián Alcázar), a former street kid from the neighborhood, and admire how he got a job at Las Colinas, the most exclusive resort in the big resort town.
